True North Kickboxing is a proudly Canadian owned, independent fitness brand with locations across Western Canada.
We are not directed by a corporation owned by a larger conglomerate south of the border. We are locally owned, community driven, and built by people who know their members and care deeply about their experience.
True North was created to offer something different. A place where people feel welcome from day one. A place where fitness is challenging but approachable. A place where community, fun, and real human connection matter just as much as the workout itself.

From the moment you arrive, you will be welcomed by a coach who will walk you through everything.

True North Kickboxing is an amazing studio! The classes were challenging but fun, and the instructors are incredibly motivating. They focus on proper technique, but also make sure you’re getting a full-body workout. I’ve noticed improvements in my strength and endurance. It’s great therapy for your soul! Every instructor brings their own personality to the class but they all care about you and want you to succeed in your fitness journey. They are right there in the trenches with you always pushing you beyond your limits. I switched to the 6 am class at the start of the year to have fun with the “6 am crew” but to take in the energy Coach Katie offers in her class. It may be freezing outside but we’re bringing the heat inside!!! If you really want to see what you’ve got then take on one of Amanda’s challenges-you discover real strength. I completed the 6 week challenge at True North Kickboxing and man was it amazing!! I was a little nervous going into this because it was something new for me. However, I immediately lost all nerves as soon as I stepped into the gym. Everyone there was so welcoming and kind. It really is one big family of people who like to punch stuff. The instructors are super encouraging and fun to be around. The challenge itself was a great experience. The community gave me the strength to push through and keep going. Overall, I highly recommend True North for a great time and workout!

Is this a fighting gym?
No. This is fitness kickboxing. There is no sparring or contact. We use kickboxing techniques purely for fitness.
What if I am out of shape?
That is okay. Classes are beginner friendly and coaches provide modifications for all fitness levels.
Do I need gloves?
Gloves are required. You can borrow a pair to start or purchase beginner gloves at an affordable price.
Is it safe?
Safety is a top priority. Coaches emphasize proper technique and progression.
What about cleanliness?
We take cleanliness seriously. Studios follow strict cleaning protocols and we encourage members to let us know if anything needs attention so it can be addressed promptly.
Is there parking?
Yes—free parking available next to Starbucks.
What are the membership options?
We offer flexible options designed to meet different goals, schedules, and budgets. Your coach can walk you through the options that make the most sense for you.
